zone members and the zone phone system

Okay, does anyone know anything about this zone phone thing. I called the number, entered my password and all it says is that I'm cleared or something like that. There's no menu of options or anything. What do I do with this or is for premium members only?

i have a feeling that you are hitting star instead of pound after you enter your pin. that's when it says something about being cleared. if you hit pound, you should hear chris n say, welcome back, then it should play your zbp tag, if you have one, then it should say main menu. it will have some music playing behind the main menu options.
hopefully this is the problem. if not, i suggest contacting the staff.

Yeah, what she said. And, this is a question about the zone so should be under zone Q&A instead of let's talk.

Sorry about the wrong post, but I didn't know where to put it and this said general board. Anyway, thanks for the help. Maybe, I am hitting the wrong button. I'll try it again.

Oh, and just to add: If you're calling for the first time, after entering your ID and pin, you may get a message asking you to agree to the zone's terms of service. Just follow the instructions (You will only receive this message the first time you log in to the system).

I got it! I figured it out and even figured out how to record my name so I hope it works when people log on to my profile. It doesn't when I do. I didn't do an audio profile yet as I'd like to be a paying member for a bit more time. I found the voicemail section, but didn't send any as I couldn't remember any id numbers and the ones I did aren't phone users. I found the conference section and still not sure what that is as most of the time I was the only on a conference and the one that did have people was full.

Maybe, I'll try one of the other numbers. I only did the very first Washingtom number.
Thanks again everyone.

the conferences are just that. it's a room that up to 6 people can fit into, to talk to eachother. so kind of like a 6 way phone call. there are also private conferences that can be created, but you must be premium to create. but if you are given the code to one, you can join no matter your membership status.
the different phone numbers don't offer anything different. they are just there as giving more than one access number for people to join.
if you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

Oh and a quick question: This may sound stupid, but when you viewed your profile, did you have sounds enabled on the zone? to do this, go to the quicknote edit field and type /sound and click "Send".

I've actually been having a problem with ZBP as well, starting today. FOr some reason every time I call in I keep getting a busy signal.

Brian: try another number. Some of them only have 2 slotsavailable, while others have 10.

I've been having that problem too, on multiple ZBP numbers. Not sure what is up, but I'll ask.

Well obviously it's working now since I tried it this morning. But both the Washington numbers were busy all day yesterday. I had to use the Iowa one.

Hmm. That's wierd. Maybe try installing sj-phone if you can?

The problem seemed to fix itself for me yesterday, too, so maybe it was just a temporary glitch.
